I was trained to treat symptoms. I chose to start looking for causes.
I’m Dr. Maggie Yu, a board-certified functional physician helping people uncover the root causes of chronic symptoms and reclaim their health with clarity, science, and compassion.
I didn’t set out to disrupt the health care system. I believed in it 100%.
I was trained as a medical doctor at UCLA and graduated at the top of my class. By all accounts, I was living the dream of a successful health care provider. Leading doctors, teaching staff, and caring for thousands of patients as the director of a large clinic.
But after the birth of my second child, my own health collapsed. Chronic fatigue, pain, weight gain, hormone chaos, connective tissue problems, and brain fog, all with “normal” labs.
The system I had devoted my life to dismissed me, told me it was all in my head and that I was simply getting older.
This gaslighting from peers and colleagues whom I had so much respect for left me feeling alone and hopeless.
But that dark time became my turning point.
Because I wasn’t believed, I made a promise: when my patients tell me something is wrong, I will believe them. And I will help them find answers.
I built a health care system I wish had existed for me. One rooted in data, order, and education—not dismissals and bandaids.
Since then, I’ve helped tens of thousands of people with autoimmune disease, Hashimotos, Lupus, Fibromyalgia, Rheumatoid Arthritis, POTS, long haul, and “mystery” symptoms discover their root causes and get their lives back.
This isn’t just my mission. It’s my calling.
I start every morning with hope—because I know what’s possible—and I end every day with data and results.
My approach is personalized, because no two people have the same health story. It’s root cause focused, because surface fixes don’t work. And it’s about creating certainty, giving people answers and a roadmap that makes sense.
I believe transformation happens when you combine science with compassion, data with education, and expertise with relentless curiosity.
That’s the system I built.
It’s worked for thousands of people and
Real People. Real Results.

Meet the founder, Maggie Yu
Board-Certified Physician and Root-Cause Functional Medicine Expert
Dr. Maggie Yu, MD, IFMCP is a board-certified family physician with nearly 30 years of clinical experience. Her work focuses on uncovering and correcting the root drivers of complex chronic illness, including autoimmune disease, thyroid dysfunction, hormone imbalance, POTS, dysautonomia, MCAS, chronic fatigue, digestive disorders, and post-viral syndromes.
Dr. Maggie is known for her precision-based, root-cause approach. She does not manage symptoms. She identifies the underlying dysfunction driving immune dysregulation, inflammation, fatigue, brain fog, tachycardia, and hormonal imbalances and corrects those drivers in the right order.
After facing her own severe autoimmune and systemic health collapse in her 30s, including Hashimoto’s, early menopause, fibromyalgia, connective tissue dysfunction, chronic pain, and depression, she expanded beyond conventional medicine to uncover why so many patients were being told their labs were “normal” while their lives were not. Rebuilding her own health led to the development of the Transform System, a structured methodology that restores stability to the immune, hormonal, digestive, and nervous systems through data-driven strategy and clinical sequencing.
Over the course of her career, she has helped thousands of patients worldwide who had exhausted traditional medical pathways without answers. Her expertise includes advanced hormone pattern interpretation, immune regulation, thyroid dysfunction missed on standard testing, digestive repair, and autonomic nervous system recalibration.
Dr. Maggie received her medical degree from UCLA and currently resides in Washington. She continues to educate globally through clinical programs and advanced trainings, helping individuals move from chronic symptoms to clarity, confidence, and control.
